Since he first photographed Ziggy Stardust at the Rainbow Theatre in London, 1972, Masayoshi Sukita has remained one of David Bowie's favourite photographers.
Bowie and Sukita's collaboration has spanned 40 years resulting in thousands of previously unseen photographs and iconic portraits, the most recent of which were taken in 2009.
As well as the classic cover photo for Heroes, 1977, Sukita has photographed eight world tours - including Bowie's first visit to Japan in 1973 and the Reality tour, 2004 - plus behind-the-scenes images including a trip to Kyoto with Bowie in 1979.
We are honoured to announce SPEED OF LIFE: a limited edition publication of Sukita's photographic archive, presented for the first time ever, with picture selection and commentary by David Bowie and Masayoshi Sukita.
This book is to be published in a limited edition of 2,000 copies worldwide, each signed by the authors. |
